Postponement, Cancellation and Credit Notes

That’s why we’ve developed clear, upfront policies around cancellations, postponements, and credit notes – so you know exactly where you stand, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Postponement Policy

If wet or extreme weather prevents a scheduled visit, the client may postpone their scheduled booking date for up to 10 business days without incurring additional fees.

If a new booking is not made within this period, cancellation fees (outlined below) will apply based on the original visit date and notice given at the time of postponement.

Cancellation Policy

If you choose to cancel your service, the following charges apply:

  • More than two (2) business days’ notice from your scheduled site visit: A cancellation fee of $550 (plus GST) applies.
  • Within two (2) business days of the scheduled visit: Full payment of the Fee (plus GST) is required.

A credit note for the amount paid will be issued and remain valid for 12 months.

Non-Response & Failure to Engage:
If a client does not respond to communication attempts regarding their booking and fails to engage before the scheduled visit, this will be treated as a cancellation. In such cases, the client remains liable for 100% of the Fee (plus GST).

Credit Note Policy

A credit note may be issued for postponed or cancelled services, subject to the following conditions:

  • A full credit note will be issued for cancellations made before the scheduled visit, provided debt collection services are not required.
    Credit notes are valid for 12 months from the original booking date.
  • The credit must be applied to one future surveying service of equal or greater value. Any additional amount must be paid by the client.
  • Credit notes cannot be split across multiple bookings, transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.
  • Credit notes are not applicable to services booked under special discounts, promotions, or our Price Match Guarantee.
  • Any administrative costs, site visits, or preparatory work already completed before cancellation may be deducted from the credit amount.
  • The new booking must comply with C&A Surveyors’ current service terms and conditions at the time of rebooking.
  • C&A Surveyors reserves the right to amend or discontinue this policy without prior notice.
